Privacy

Overview

This marketing site does not ask you to create an account or upload a file. It does not process your video content online. PlayerTracer is a downloadable app; clips you open are processed on your device only. The apps do not include analytics that phone home about your clips.

What we store

When you buy on this site, we store your purchase email, an opaque license key (PT-…), related Paddle transaction ids, and optional device records (a random device id, short label, and platform such as macos, windows, or ipados) in Cloudflare KV so unlock and the 3-device limit can work.

The purchase email is your contact and unlock identity. It is not the license key — the key is a separate random PT-… value shown after Buy and in the PlayerTracer purchase receipt email when email delivery is configured.

Processors

Paddle is merchant of record for website checkout and receives payment and billing details under Paddle’s privacy policy.

Apple processes payment for iPad in-app purchases under Apple’s privacy policy.

When configured, Resend sends a short purchase confirmation (and optional device verification codes) to the checkout email.

Cloudflare hosts this site and the license API, and may process IP addresses for rate limiting, security, and operational logs. We configure logging to avoid putting purchase emails and license keys in query strings and trace key names where practical.

Videos and clips

Your video files are opened and processed in the PlayerTracer app on your device. This website does not accept uploads or run online processing of your clips. Clips never leave your device for PlayerTracer processing, and the apps do not send clip analytics.

Children

This site and the purchase flow are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Retention and deletion

License records (email, license key, transaction ids, and device records) are kept so the product can work. If you want a license or device record deleted, email hello@playertracer.app. After an approved website refund, the license is revoked and no longer unlocks on any device.
